The fish is a fictional character from the E4 coming-of-age British sitcom The Inbetweeners. It makes his first appearance during the episode "The Field Trip", that was broadcasted on April 2, 2009. The fish only appears in The Field Trip and does not make a comeback in the movies either.
The fish serves as a minor character in the series. The most-memorable event regaurding the fish is when Neil Sutherland punched it to its death.

Near the end of the episode, the fish appeared, after the four boys accidentally catch a fish, even though there was no bait on the fishing rod. Jay Cartwright yelled at Neil to get the fish out. Neil felt sorry for the fish, before brutally punching it multiple times, leading to its fatal death.
