The Camping Trip is the sixth (and final) episode of the third series of The Inbetweeners and the final Inbetweeners episode overall. It was originally broadcast on 18 October 2010 on E4.
Plot[]
Simon's parents tell him that the whole family are moving to Swansea in a couple of weeks due to Simon's dad's company making many employees redundant. Simon is distraught, as he will have no friends and never see Carli again. At the same time, Neil worries that he might have got a woman pregnant. Will decides to organise one last trip for the gang before they go their separate ways. The four lads pack the yellow Fiat for a camping trip in the countryside. In the woods by a lake, Will draws on all his scout training – the same however, cannot be said for Jay, Neil and Simon, who are not prepared for the great outdoors at all. After burning all of Will's stuff to start a fire, a quick texting game, and playing Monopoly in the dark, Jay tries to use the headlights of Simon's car as a light source by parking it next to the camp but forgets to apply the handbrake. He cannot find the keys and the team fails to stop the car from rolling into the lake. Simon snaps and has a complete breakdown, abusing his friends in a fit of rage and regretting the fact that he wasted his life hanging around with them. He is then mollified when Neil asks him if he wants a lager. Neil receives a text saying the woman is not pregnant (the "positive" was on a Chlamydia test), while Simon gets a text from Carli (but will not reveal the contents, beyond saying "brilliant"). After everyone (except Will) throws up in the tent, the group have no choice, but to walk home.
